Pretty Nail Polish by Etude

Yesterday, Etude was on a 20% on all item sale. So we headed there to get some nail polish.

This are my nails before I applied the polish and jelly top coat.

And this is the result after applying the nail polish.

Nail Polish in PP901, LuciDarling Fantastic Nails in 3886 and Jelly Pop Nail Top Coat

I love using their nail polish and choosing the right color according to my mood.
You could choose from their line from dark, light to daring ones.
Also, you may try experimenting by layering them.

For a long lasting finish, gloss and color protection, a jelly top coat is applied.
I've seen another new product. Their cracked nail polish and matte top coat, I'd love to buy them next time.

Food that I Missed Eating

This summer, I made a point to take pictures of food that I loved eating. And now, I missed them.
I've posted pictures of the food that I missed most.

Hot chicken soup by Kusina Tsina located at Quezon Street, Iloilo City. Its broth is very rich and the soup itself is filling.

Sharks fin dumplings at Kusina Tsina. I love this mouth-watering dumpling. I wish I have a better camera so that I could show to you that the wrapper is translucent and its filling is wrapped intricately. The taste will have you wanting for more.
These shanghai rolls definitely go well with their home made sauce. Yummy!
I personally cooked this carbonara whenever I have all the ingredients on hand. I really got addicted to this and got a usual craving for it.
My Home Made Carbonara Up Close

The famous black rice of my Tita. This was made from rice and squid. The color black was from the squid's ink.
Punsyon's baked talaba. I usually eat boiled talaba. But after trying the baked ones, I really fell in love with it. It was light buttery, with a bit of garlic and salt.
Dipping it in soy sauce and vinegar will add a rich flavor to it.

Afrique's special pizza. This pizzeria (Afrique's) is a hit in Iloilo nowadays. Try one and you'll definitely know why.

Barbeque by the Beach - Anhawan Getaway

Last May 2011, we went to Anhawan (Oton, Iloilo) to unwind and have fun.

Here are some pictures of what we did there.

Our only objective for the day is to eat, rest, roam around and have fun.

We spent the day taking these pictures after eating.

It's a good thing that one of our officemates knew someone here. So we saved a lot due to privileges and discounts that were given to us.

The place has been continually developed by the resort's owner.
I forgot to take a picture of an area where conventions and weddings are being held. It was really spacious, serene and beautiful.

The resort also has a kiddie pool, big pool (located inside their exclusive hotel) and a playground.

I hope they'll finish developing the resort and improve their facilities more to attract more customers.

Food Trip

It's my vacation leave and we're craving for something new. So my best friend recommended me to try a spicy soup - Tom Yam Seafood at Krua Thai. And boy it was hot...spicy hot. The spices still linger around my mouth after washing it down with a glass of water.

I'm not fond of spicy food but I like to eat seafood and try something new.
A small jar of spices if you'd like to add more spice to your dish.

We headed to Nothing But Desserts and tried two of their sweet stuff. We chose Nanaimo and Raspberry Bar. Take note that i'm not the typical person who loves to eat sweet food. But I tried anyway.

I love it!

This is the Raspberry Bar. At my first taste, I remembered something...it was familiar to a Victoria's Secret body spray...The raspberry's scent was really aromatic. The oats were just right.

For our hungry stomachs, we went to Kenny Roger's for a chicken sandwich, soup and iced tea.

It was really filling.
Yummy, yum, yum!

We'll try something new next time.

A Short Trip to Guimaras

Six o’clock in the morning is our scheduled boat trip to Jordan, Guimaras to climb the Bala-an Bukid (Holy Mountain). There, we went to have our “Way of the Cross” ‘til we get to the last station – 14th Station. After the last station, we went right up and came across a small chapel in front of a very large cross which can be seen on the opposite island (Panay Island).

The view is scenic. The air is fresh. The place is very serene. After saying our prayers and wishes, we had a small picnic and took some pictures. Upon taking pictures, I almost fell on the cliff. It’s a good thing I had the chance to grab on a trunk of a tree. It was so embarrassing ‘cause people screamed in horror at what they saw. And I told them that it was just a joke (but the truth is, it’s not). We returned to where we started and took a tricycle ride to the terminal.

From the terminal, we took another jeepney ride to the annual Manggahan Festival (Festival of Mangoes). A big bazaar was held in the plaza where lots of people flocked to see, buy and eat mangoes at the venue. There was a long line on one of the stalls. It had a big sign offering eat all you can mangoes with ybos (sticky rice wrapped in a coconut leaf) for 45 minutes. I saw foreigners and local visitors eating lots of big mangoes. Meanwhile, we went to the bazaar to buy some mangoes. All that’s left are green and there were no more ripe mangoes already. A stall owner told us that they (ripe mangoes) were all sold out days ago.

After having lunch at the bazaar, we went to a friend’s place where only their care taker lives in their lot to tend their plants and poultry. We enjoyed picking and eating fruits there. At three pm, we were fetched and went back home.
Next year, we’ll go there again and try the eat-all-you-can mangoes. And I’ll try to be careful not fall on the cliff next time.
